As vendas são compiladas desde outubro de 2004 até os dias atuais, sendo utilizadas constantemente para a formação dos principais charts da Billboard Magazine. Essa decisão da revista baseou-se no aumento drástico do mercado digital, enquanto as vendas de singles físicos tornaram-se quase insignificantes.
